Tri-M Membership Criteria
Academic

All candidates must be recommended by their music instructors for membership to Tri-M.

Candidates must have completed at least two academic years at an accredited high school and have participated in a performing, musical ensemble for at least four semesters.

All candidates for membership in Tri-M must have an overall 3.0 grade point average (GPA). Additionally, the candidate must have an overall 4.0 average in his or her music classes.
Discipline and Conduct
- Each candidate will have spent no more than 3 total days in In-School-Suspension over the course of their high school career.
- Each candidate will have never received Out-of-School Suspension for any length of time.
